Lance and Mallory
our story
Lance and Mallory Irwin have been married for seven years and are eagerly awaiting the Lord to grow their family. They met in Houston at Grace Church, where both served on staff. In 2016, they accepted the role of Young Adult pastors, building a ministry for college students and young professionals. During this time, they felt God calling them to plant a church.
In 2022, they moved to Columbia, South Carolina, and joined Newspring Church, where they served in the discipleship ministry. Their passion for cultivating a culture of discipleship and spiritual growth became even stronger. Lance and Mallory believe that God is calling His church to grow both relationally deep and demographically wide. Just as Jesus transformed the world by investing in 12 disciples, they are expectant that the same will happen in Pearland and the greater Houston area through faithful discipleship, daily encounters with the Lord, and sharing their faith with others.
At Citizen Church
Our mission is centered on the life-changing love of Jesus. We believe that as people encounter His grace, their hearts are transformed, and they grow deeper in faith. Our focus is on fostering a church community that reflects Christ’s love and truth, encouraging spiritual growth and a deeper relationship with Him. Through worship, teaching, and genuine fellowship, we aim to guide others in their walk with Jesus.
As our church grows
As we look toward the future, we believe that God is calling Citizen Church to grow relationally deep and demographically wide. Just as Jesus changed the world by investing in the lives of 12 disciples, we are expectant that God will move powerfully in Pearland and the greater Houston area as we seek Him daily and share our faith with one another and those around us. The Greater Houston area is experiencing significant growth, and we are committed to planting new churches by raising up and sending out leaders to bring hope and impact people for generations to come.
